Greathurst End is a cul de sac located in the semi rural village of Great Bookham. From here, BOOKHAM RAIL STATION IS 0.4 MILES; an approximate ten minute walk. The village has a short high street at its centre, which has two butchers, a family-run fishmongers, two traditional greengrocers, Boots, Co-op, tea rooms, barbers, hairdressers and a wide range of other shops and services.
Three public houses are in Great Bookham: The Anchor, The Royal Oak, The Old Crown and one in Little Bookham, Ye Olde Windsor Castle. The village is well known as the location of Polesden Lacey, a country house on the southern edge of the village, surrounded by more than 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) of grounds, now owned by the National Trust and open to the public. The large, cobbled town of Guildford is approximately ten miles away.
